We’re incredibly proud to announce that Gold Leaf Constructions has taken home two awards at the 2026 Master Builders Queensland Sunshine Coast Housing & Construction Awards, with our Allocasuarina project recognised across two categories.
Allocasuarina was awarded:
Winner – Individual Home from $1.5 million up to $2 million
Winner – TRUECORE® Best Use of Steel Frame Housing
To have this home recognised amongst some of the Sunshine Coast’s finest residential construction is an achievement our entire team is immensely proud of.
Set amongst established Sunshine Coast bushland, Allocasuarina is a highly considered custom home where architecture, engineering, materiality and craftsmanship come together.
Designed by Reitsma & Associates and constructed by Gold Leaf Constructions, the home demanded an exceptional level of coordination and precision throughout the build. Expansive 3.6-metre ceilings create volume through the main living spaces, while off-form concrete, extensive steel framing, natural materials and carefully executed architectural details give the home its distinctive character.
It is a home where many of the elements that appear effortless in the finished result required an enormous amount of planning behind the scenes.
Receiving the award for Individual Home from $1.5 million up to $2 million is particularly meaningful for our team.
This category recognises the home as a whole — from the quality of construction and workmanship through to the execution of its design and the complexity involved in bringing it to life. For Gold Leaf, it is recognition of the standard we strive for on every project: meticulous attention to detail, considered problem-solving and craftsmanship that respects the architectural intent.
Allocasuarina was also awarded TRUECORE® Best Use of Steel Frame Housing, recognising one of the defining construction elements of the project.
The extensive steel framing required careful planning, coordination and execution to achieve the architectural forms of the home while maintaining the precision required throughout subsequent stages of construction. To receive recognition specifically for this aspect of the build, alongside the Individual Home award, makes the achievement even more significant.
While these awards carry the Gold Leaf Constructions name, Allocasuarina was very much a collaborative achievement.
