“We came across Gold Leaf purely because we would walk by their sites on multiple occasions, and over the period of time when we were considering builders, we saw about three of their sites in our local area.
Consistently, when we walked by the Gold Leaf sites, they were clean, efficient, and the builds were progressing well. The tradies we spoke to who were working with them really liked working with them, and when we cast our net further, asking people in our community about the builders and their reputation, we just heard great things about the Gold Leaf team.
We have a young family and needed more room to grow into. Living in the Moffat Beach area, most of the blocks are pretty small, so we were looking for a larger block, and when this one came on the market in 2020, we were lucky enough to secure it. Our dreams and aspirations for the block were big—it’s a beautiful conservation area with stunning vegetation all around, and we could really envisage our family growing up there. We wanted a family home that made for easy Queensland-style living on the coast, close to the water, where we could enjoy both the bush and the beach while having space for our family to grow together.
Once we had contracts signed and budgets estimated, Gold Leaf made everything very easy. They made it easy because their communication was so clear. Any problems that arose had already been thought through with potential solutions, so there was minimal delay when we did come across obstacles and challenges during the build. Throughout the entire build, their communication was always clear, they were task-focused, solution-driven, and very pragmatic.
They are also very family-focused, and that was really nice to see. Their family mentality extends to their tradies as well—they have regular tradespeople who all know each other and have worked together for years. That, to us, is a testament to the quality of the builders and the character that they have, looking after their trades, and as a result, producing an incredibly high-quality product. We couldn’t be happier with what they’ve created.
Now, we’re looking forward to having the windows open, feeling the gentle breeze coming through, hearing the birds, watching the water dragons crawling around the yard, seeing the kids in the kayaks on the lake, jumping in and out of the pool, and blending in with the land, the vegetation, and the home itself—truly making the most of this beautiful space. Honestly, the Gold Leaf team are such quality people and just great guys.”
