High on the hill in Buderim this stunning family home was redesigned by Kate Cooper Interiors and brought to life by Gold Leaf Constructions in 2021. A complete refurbishment has taken this dreary 90s home to a modern masterpiece while still keeping nods of the original grandeur.

Mick’s Thoughts On What Makes This Home Special
What is your favourite room in this house, and why does it stand out to you?
The living area is so open and I love how it opens out into the backyard. It has a really nice feel to the entire space.
Which design feature in this project would you love to incorporate into your own home?
The French Oak floors. They were around 240mm by Queensland Timber Floors and really set the scene for the rest of the house. They made the house feel really warm and homely.
What was the most rewarding part of working on this particular build?
The client was really easy to work with and was so appreciative to us for the work. Working with Kate Cooper was really great too. She understands the importance of a good builder/designer relationship and made the process really enjoyable.
Which FF&E item do you like the most?
The bathroom tiles and fixtures. They worked so well together!
Which detail or element do you think will surprise or delight the homeowners the most?
The transformation from the original kitchen to the newly renovated- it flows so much nicer after we were able to remove the steel post and the owner was so happy to see it gone!
